Meet Aney, the Boston-based wedding and portrait photographer behind the lens of Lumière by Aney. I create timeless images rich in color, intentional in posing, and full of emotion, or simply put, "photos you can feel."
When I first picked up a camera, I captured everything from nature to street to portraits, until I discovered what I was really after: documenting culture, human connection, and the relationships that shape us. What started as curiosity and a love for art quickly turned into purpose. That’s when the essence of Lumière by Aney began to take form.
My philisophy
Growing up, many people would joke that I took too many pictures and I always responded the same way: "Pictures are memories." Not only are they memories, they become the very things cherished by our generations to come. That instinct perfectly describes the philosophy behind Lumière by Aney: to create images that aren't simply pretty, but ones that carry meaning and feel alive. Ones that remind you of who you were in that moment, how it felt to be seen, and why it mattered. The little glances. The quiet details. Even the imperfections we overlook today that often become the very things we miss tomorrow.
Those are the moments I am here for and will make sure you never lose. Images you will frame, revisit, and one day pass down because the people who matter most deserve to be documented that way.
my approach
My work is guided, poised, and unrushed, and so is the experience of being in front of my camera. You do not need to know how to pose. You do not need to perform.
